$174.99

Product Details:

The Rock-Vent Telescoping Roof Braces adjust from 67" to 114" and fits pipe diameters of 5", 6", 7" and 8". Constructed of galvanized with a stainless steel band and galvanized telescoping poles.

Use the Telescoping Roof Brace to brace the chimney pipe when it extends more than 5' above the roof. Mounting brackets adjust easily to any roof pitch. The chimney pipe may not extend more than 5 feet above the Telescoping Roof Brace. If this does occur, multiple Telescoping Roof Braces will be needed.

Install the locking band approximately 2/3 of the way up the chimney pipe. Adjust the legs so that they form approximately a 45 degree angle with the chimney and the two braces should be approximately 90 degrees apart. Please see manual below for additional information (page 11).

Solid Product to Stabilize Class A Pipe

These telescoping struts provide a great way to stabilize a stainless Class A chimney pipe -- especially if secured to Rockford transition plate (masonry to Class A). The bracket that attaches to the pipe takes some bending to make it snug-up against the out pipe circumference-- and the directions could be a little more clear about that, but overall, it works very well. The angle of the struts -- each attach 180 degrees opposite each other on the pipe, have an angle flare of about 90 degrees back to the other end of attachment -- to a roof deck, wall, or other secure mount on the roof (like an A/C compressor curb). This angle cannot be adjusted -- only the length of the strut. Product could use a bit of de-burring on bolt holes, but that is minor complaint. Comes with a stainless anchor bracket and bolts to attach it to strut end, but you have to supply your own nut/bolt to fasten to anchor point.
