We use high grade 304L stainless steel, and you can choose between 24 and 20 gauge thickness. We offer the custom surrounds in a stainless steel finish or a high-temp black finish. Choose between 3 sided and 4 sided surrounds.  3 sided surrounds are most often used for standard fireplace inserts that sit on the fireplace floor. Whereas 4 sided surrounds are used when you would like to elevate the insert off the floor for a contemporary look.\u003c\/div\u003e\n\u003cdiv\u003eAdditional features can be added such as the Hemmed Edge, Top Arch or Projected. The Hemmed edge will add rigidity to the surround so the steel is not wavy. The Top Arch feature is a great option for fireplaces that have an arch, allowing the surround to match the fireplace's arch.  The Projection feature includes side returns that project the surround out from the face of the fireplace.
