The WeatherShield Chimney Cap is a unique alternative to the traditional chimney cap. For use with solid pack Class A, masonry, or single wall chimneys to keep the rain, snow, leaves and animals out, but keeps sparks in. Moreover, its 304 stainless steel construction assures superior corrosion resistance to weather and the hostile flue gas environment. Despite adverse weather, the WeatherShield will not rust.

Surprisingly, it's difficult to find the manufacturer of the previous, original chimney cap. This universal, premier after-market chimney cap protects the chimney from inclement weather and keeps out debris & animals. The cap features a 4" extension on the bottom of the chimney cap which gets inserted INTO the inner pipe of the chimney pipe or clay flue. Therefore, cap sizes are based on the inner pipe diameter.

Options for Your WeatherShield Chimney Cap

To begin with, an added feature is the removable mesh screen that provides a measure of safety by helping to contain sparks. Available in 1" (standard) or 1/2" mesh. Additionally, these are 100% stainless steel construction to ensure a long life and rust-free performance.

Optional StormShield: Convert your WeatherShield into a StormShield to keep out hard driving rains. This simply replaces the lid on your WeatherShield chimney cap. Above all, this makes it an easy install and is removable for quick inspection and cleaning. Moreover, wind-induced downdraft can cause smoke to enter the living space and the StormShield will help reduce the effects.

Additionally, custom sizes are available up to 48".

You can also adapter your WeatherShield chimney cap to any standard masonry flue using this adapter.

    Sizing and Measuring:

To begin with, these are the items you will want to measure for your new WeatherShield Chimney Cap.

    • Measure the inside pipe diameter
    • Measure the outside pipe diameter

Firstly, check the sizing chart below to identify the inside pipe measurement. Secondly, check the lid size diameter to verify the lid size will accommodate the outside diameter of the pipe. Most often, the outside diameter / lid size is not an issue for this installation, but always worth double checking.

Durable, Good Fit, and Fast Shipping

I'm really happy with this cap, it was hard to find one a parts counter without a specific model number. This one fit my AmeriVent 7" Class A chimney that I use for an oil furnace flue.
