Learn About Sealants & Cements

Rockford Chimney Supply offers a variety of Silicones, Cements, and Waterproofing Sealer Materials for your chimney needs. We offer Silicone Sealers with high temperature ratings for exterior use, typically for roof flashings and components. Additionally, we offer Cement Sealers that can withstand up to 3000 degrees F. For example, Furnace Cement is suitable for sealing the inside of a wood stove or minor fireplace repairs.

Brick chimneys can be very porous which can absorb water into your home. Sealing the brick with a waterproofing material will help extend the life of your masonry chimney. The top of a masonry chimney is known as a chimney crown and helps shed the water from the top of the chimney. It is very easy for a chimney crown to crack. Sealing the top of the chimney will extend the life of the entire chimney and help prevent leaks into the home. Our silicone based crown sealers are the premier product to seal the top of a cracked chimney. It's also a great choice to be proactive if you have a new chimney crown.
