Custom Chimney Shrouds Made to Your measurements

Custom Built Chimney Shrouds
Chimney shrouds are an excellent way to enhance your home's architectural appeal while also safeguarding your fireplace or heating appliances from wind-induced downdrafts.
Designed with open bases and tops, with the option to add screening, these shrouds allow your chimney flues to vent properly while creating a barrier against downdrafts. They also prevent wind-driven rain from entering the chimney flue pipes and provide an additional layer of spark protection, reducing the risk of sparks landing on your home or nearby trees.

Styles
With 18 styles to choose from, we are sure to have the perfect chimney shroud to accent your home. We offer custom chimney shrouds in stainless steel and copper, and powder coating is available for the stainless steel option.
You can choose between a top mount and an outside mount chimney shroud. Top mount chimney shrouds are most commonly installed on a masonry chimney, while outside mount chimney shrouds are typically installed on a wood-framed chimney over a chimney chase cover. An optional screen mesh is available to prevent animals from entering the chimney shroud.
When measuring, we recommend adding at least 1/4" extra allowance to the exact length and width measurements of the chimney.
**Important Notes:**
* A chimney shroud is not a rain cap. You will still need a chimney rain cap for your flue pipe to prevent rain from entering the pipe.
* For a prefab chimney inside a wood-framed chimney chase, please reference the manufacturer's installation instructions for size requirements.
* Styles OT-04, OT-07, OT-08, and OT-09 have a maximum length of 50".
* Chimney shrouds are custom fabricated and are non-returnable.

How to Measure
Measuring for a Top Mount Chimney Shroud
A top-mount chimney shroud can be any size smaller than the full outside measurements of your chimney structure.
* **To maximize the shroud size:** Measure the outside dimensions of your chimney and subtract 3 inches to account for the mounting flange.
* **For the smallest possible shroud:** You'll need at least 7 inches from the side of the flue to the side of the chimney shroud. For example, if your existing flue measures 12" x 12", the minimum shroud size would need to be 26" x 26". This accounts for 7 inches on each side of the flue to the shroud.
The height of a top-mount chimney shroud should be as high as the top of the chimney cap covering the flue. This measurement is taken from the top of the chimney (where the mounting flange will be) to the highest point of the chimney rain cap.
Measuring for an Outside-Mount Chimney Shroud
For an outside-mount chimney shroud, you'll need to measure the outermost dimensions of the chimney structure. Be sure to take the widest length and width measurements of each side. We recommend adding 1/4 inch to both the length and width measurements of the shroud to ensure a proper fit.
For wood-framed chimneys, take measurements of the existing chimney chase cover. Outside-mount chimney shrouds have a 3-inch long side skirt for mounting to the side of the chimney.
The height of an outside-mount chimney shroud should also be as high as the top of the chimney cap covering the flue. This measurement is taken from the outside edge of the chimney (where the side skirt will be) to the highest point of the chimney rain cap.
