The Drolet Chic-Choc wood burning cook stove is a great addition to any kitchen and perfect for enhancing the cooking experience. The large stainless steel oven is designed for cooking large meals capable of feeding a large family. The oven is equipped with two stainless steel cooking grids with three positions to ensure you have enough room for the largest cookware.

The Chic-Choc oven is equipped with a built-in thermostat and air control to allow you to easily monitor and control the temperature of the oven. The Chic-Choc cook stove stands 37" tall which allows for comfortable cooking. The extremely large top cooking surface has room for multiple pots and pans offering more cooking surface than a traditional oven and stove top. Boil water, sear meat, sauté some vegetables, or fry chicken, it can all be done on the steel top. The oven is equipped with an ash drawer for the firebox as well as a removable hatch to easily clean the bottom of the stainless steel oven.

The size of the firebox is what sets the Drolet Chic-Choc wood burning cook stove apart from the rest. With that size firebox you can expect up to a 10 hour burn time on one load of wood. Not many wood burning cookstoves out there can say the same thing. The secondary combustion system allows you to control the burn while also extending the efficiency of the stove. The large ceramic glass fire box door provides a stunning view of the fire adding aesthetic while cooking that no other stove can emulate.

The innovative design of the Chic-Choc was created with the user and the installer in mind. The Chic-Choc consists of two separate cabinets which makes it more convenient to move and once in the home the two cabinets easily attach together. With reduced clearances to combustible material, this large oven will not take up much of your living space. The Chic-Choc cook stove also includes a cleaning brush, stainless cooking grids (2), removable bottom of the oven, built-in thermometer, adjustable cast iron legs, ceramic glass, broad spectrum air damper, ash drawer and ash lip.

5"Ø Fresh Air Intake Kit

A fresh air intake is great for any stove. This will ensure the stove has the proper combustion air to run efficiently. If your home is very air tight, you would need an air intake kit. The kit comes with the intake adapter for the stove, 2 clamps and the hood register for outside. A 5" fresh air pipe is required to complete the job.

8 1/2" X 8 1/2" Steatite Cooking Plates (2 Units)

Steatite is similar to soapstone which is able to withstand extremely hot temperatures and slowly release the heat. This is perfect for evenly cooking anything from meats, fish and vegetables. Steatite is non-porous and extremely dense which makes for a hygienic cooking surface. The perimeter of the cooking plate has a gutter to prevent excess juice from spilling on the cook stove. Steatite cook plates are easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Includes 2 cook plates

We love it!

Rockford was great to work with. We got our stove much faster than we expected, given the way things are going these days. Took me a day to put it all together working solo. I don't recommend this, given the weight of this stove, but with dollies and some ingenuity, it's possible. It's even more solid of a stove than we had expected. There are a couple things I would suggest that I felt could be improved upon. 1- the ash door doesn't close against the stove fully. There is a metal tab in the back that prevents this, not sure how this is benefitial. 2- I also would have preferred an outside air intake port. This just draws air in from under the stove. We have used the oven already. And found maintaining the temperature fairly easy. The stove is remarkably efficient compared to our last one, which wasn't really that old. 10 out of 10.
