Product Details:

The Drolet Cape Town 1800 is entirely made from cast iron and ideal for heating up to 2000 square feet. Producing 75,000 BTU's, the cast iron construction will radiate extra heat even when the fire dies down. The Drolet Cape Town 1800 wood stove is EPA 2020 approved with 78% optimum efficiency. The 2 cubic square foot firebox can hold up to a 21" log and has a max burn time of 8 hours. The 20.5" x 12" glass size offers a very large viewing area.

This is the only Drolet wood stove available with the option of venting the exhaust out of the back of the stove, or out of the top of the stove. The rear exhaust option is great if you plan on placing the wood stove in front of an old fireplace. You can have the stove pipe go right out of the back of the stove, through the opening of the fireplace and connect directly to the chimney liner.

The optional top or rear exhaust makes the stove very versatile for many different installations. Tight on space? The optional heat shield can be installed on the back of the stove to allow you to get the stove closer to a combustible wall. The heat shield should only be used with a double wall stove pipe. The classic design of the Cape Town 1800 wood stove makes for an antique look while offering all the features of a modern wood stove.

    Optional Accessories:

Heat Shield (Double Wall Pipes Only)

Wood stoves can take up a lot of space in a home. The optional heat shield is a great way to save a little extra space in your home. The heat shield can only be used with a double wall pipe so you are able to get the stove a little closer to a combustible wall. The heat shield will reduce the back wall clearance from 16" to 5" from the back of the stove and reduce the corner clearance from 16" to 6" when used with double wall pipe.
