Product Details

We offer a package that includes the common items needed to complete a Flat ceiling installation for ease of ordering.

Included in the Flat ceiling chimney pipe installation kit is the 11" ceiling support, 0/12 to 6/12 or 7/12 to 12/12 vented roof flashing (galvalume), storm collar, universal male adapter (to connect to black single wall stove pipe), and the chimney rain cap.

Choose the appropriate flashing & roof pitch for your installation: Standard Roof Flashing for shingled roofs or Metal Roof Flashing for metal roofs.

To order the chimney pipe you need to go along with this installation kit, please choose the Rock-Vent Class A chimney pipe for your installation.

Attic Insulation Shielding Overview:

Do you need the Attic Insulation Shield? One of these three methods should be followed (please see manual below for more details):

  • If your attic space is greater than 15" in your flat ceiling installation, you should have room to install the attic insulation shield
  • If your ceiling support protrudes 10" into the attic space, you can fit a storm collar around the chimney pipe and this would act as your attic insulation shield. (In this scenario you would be using the 24" ceiling support in the pitched ceiling kit and purchasing an additional storm collar)
  • If the attic insulation shield will not fit (typically low attic installations), you are required to enclose the chimney pipe in a framed enclosure and maintain the required 2 inch air space to combustibles
  • Please see manual below for more details

Installation & Configuration

Example installation with the most common components needed for passing through a combustible roof / ceiling. Please note, some of the components displayed in this image are sold separately.

Great customer service and fast shipping

I had a great experience asking many questions over several calls. The guy I spoke to was patient and walked me through the products I would need. I had one stove pipe get damaged in shipping and one email later Rockford had a replacement on its way. Would definitely use Rockford in the future. Great customer service, and fast shipping.
