The DuraPlus Class A Wall Thimble is used to safely pass a section of DuraPlus Chimney Pipe through a combustible wall. The Wall Thimble can accommodate a wall thickness between 4.25 in. and 7.25 in.
For thicker walls, a field fabricated extension of up to 16 in. can be used to install between the interior and exterior thimble sections. The field fabricated thimble extension must be constructed out of at least 24 gauge sheet metal.
DuraPlus Chimney Pipe must pass horizontally through the Wall Thimble and extend at least 2 in. past the interior finished wall. Use the DuraPlus Snap Lock Adapter with Trim to connect the stove pipe to the horizontal pipe extending into the room. The interior section is painted black with a trim collar and the exterior is galvalume finish.
