This round chimney damper is constructed from quality 316Ti stainless steel. Built to withstand repeated chimney fires, it will not melt like other dampers. The Round Drop-In Damper is spring powered to ensure reliable operation through varying conditions of use.

Installations

Installation is simple: the damper is recessed approximately 6 inches below the flue's termination point. Ideal for restoration projects where an exposed damper would be objectionable. A rain cover of your choice can be installed over it without fear of a freezing or sticking damper. See our installation instructions (PDF).

Excellent product, easy to install.

We got this product to solve a back draft issue we were having with the new high temperature chimney we installed. It is a very well made product, and fits perfectly into our 6 inch chimney pipe. This damper works very well and stops the back draft very well. AS it turns out, the problem we were having was solved with the Vacu Stack product. So we left this in the pipe, but probably won't ever need it. NOTE : I will add, if you plan to use this damper AND the Vacu Stack together, you should get a 12 inch section of pipe, install the damper in the old pipe, and install the Vacu Stack onto the new 12inch section, and place that new section on top of the old pipe. This is what we did and it took a bit of effort to get the new section to fit over the damper, but they will go together and lock properly if you are persistent.
