The SuperPro / SuperVent Attic Insulation Shield is used to prevent any insulation or debris in an attic from coming in contact with the chimney pipe that is passing through a ceiling into an attic while maintaining the necessary 2 in. clearance from combustible material.
The Attic Insulation Shield is required in any installation where the chimney pipe is going through an attic space. The Attic Shield will sit on the attic joist and the adjustable inner sleeve will adjust to provide joist shielding.
SuperPro and SuperVent models are compatible with each other according to the manufacturer. The 6 in. & 8 in. diameters are the SuperPro model (compatible with SuperVent). The 7 in. diameter is the SuperVent model (compatible with SuperPro).
