The Ventis HES170 Wood Burning Stove is a medium size wood burning stove capable of heating 500 to 1,800 square feet and producing up to 65,000 BTU's. The 1.9 cubic ft firebox can handle up to an 18" log and has a maximum burn time of up to 6 hours on one load of wood. The Ventis HES170 Wood Burning Stove is an EPA certified clean burning wood stove with a low emissions rating of only 1.26 g/h and an optimum efficiency rating of 78%. The large cast iron door includes wide viewing glass that measures 17.25" x 8" so you can enjoy the beauty and warmth of the fire. The classic pedestal design will fit with any decor and will surely be the focal point in any room. The Ventis HES170 comes standard with an ash pan to easily clean out your stove. An optional blower and thermodisc are available to help push the heat across the room.

Rigid Firescreen

The Rigid Firescreen allows you to burn wood in the fireplace insert with the door open just like an old-time fireplace. Hear the crackle of the wood, watch the flames dance around in the firebox and relax around the wood insert on a cold winter's night. The Rigid Firescreen is easy to install and easy to remove when you are ready to load more wood. The fireplace insert should not be burning with the door open without the firescreen.

130CFM Blower with Variable Speed Control (Thermodisc included)

Add the optional 130 CFM blower to enhance the overall heating performance of the stove. The blower comes with a thermodisc that will turn the blower on when the stove gets up to temperature and will also turn the blower off once the stove has cooled down. You will not have to worry about hearing the blower, the fan is extremely quiet.

Tax Credit Information

Ventis HES170 Wood Fireplace Insert is EPA rated and has a HHV rating of 75% which qualifies for the wood and pellet stove tax credit through the end of 2032. From January 2023 through December 2032 you can receive up to a 30% tax credit for the installation and parts required, such as chimney liner and insulation.
